I. Cấu trúc bài thi TOEIC Writing

Bài thi TOEIC Writing được thiết kế nhằm đánh giá khả năng viết tiếng Anh trong bối cảnh công việc quốc tế, tập trung vào tính rõ ràng, chính xác và phù hợp ngữ cảnh hơn là lối viết học thuật phức tạp. Tổng thời gian làm bài là 60 phút, gồm 8 câu hỏi, chia thành 3 phần với yêu cầu và mức độ khó tăng dần.

• TOEIC Writing Part 1: Write a sentence based on a picture (Viết câu dựa vào tranh) – 5 câu.

• TOEIC Writing Part 2: Respond to a written request (Viết phản hồi email/yêu cầu) – 2 câu.

• TOEIC Writing Part 3: Write an opinion essay (Viết bài luận nêu quan điểm) – 1 câu.

Directions: In this part of the test, you will write an essay in response to a question that asks you to state, explain, and support your opinion on an issue. Typically, an effective essay will contain a minimum of 300 words. Your response will be scored on

• whether your opinion is supported with reasons and/or examples,
• grammar,
• vocabulary, and
• organization.

You will have 30 minutes to plan, write, and revise your essay.

Answer:
Sports are popular all around the world. People enjoy sports because sports bring several advantages to people's lives. Sports encourage people to get exercise, they provide opportunities for interacting with others, and they give a sense of belonging to a group. 

An interest in sports encourages people to get exercise. People who play sports get a lot of exercise. People who are serious about their sport spend a lot of effort getting in good physical shape so that they can play their sport well. Other people play sports just for fun, but they still get good exercise when they play. Of course, some people just watch sports on TV, and that isn't a very good exercise. But sometimes fans become motivated to imitate their favourite athletes, and they try playing the sport themselves. 

An interest in sports provides opportunities for interacting with others. When you play on a team, you have to work with your teammates to play the game as well as you can. Or you may just interact with a single opponent when you play a sport such as tennis. Even if you just watch sports, you have opportunities to interact with other fans of your favourite teams. 

An interest in sports gives a sense of belonging to a group. If you play on a team, then the team is your group. You are also part of the larger group of people who enjoy playing that sport. If you enjoy watching sports, you can feel that you are part of the group of fans who support your teams. You can also feel pride in being a resident of the city that your favourite team represents. 

Sports bring a lot of positive things to people's lives. Sports people everywhere. encourage people to exercise,  spend time with others, and belong to groups. These are the reasons why sports are important to people.

2. Writing TOEIC Part 2 - Đề 2

Directions: In this part of the test, you will write an essay in response to a question that asks you to state, explain, and support your opinion on an issue. You will have 30 minutes to plan, write, and revise your essay.

Answer:

I agree that raising children in a small town is better than doing so in a big city. Although cities offer more educational and recreational opportunities, small towns provide a safer environment and a better quality of family life for children.

One important reason is safety. Small towns usually have lower crime rates than large cities, which allows children more freedom to play outside and travel short distances on their own. Parents tend to feel more secure letting their children walk to school, ride bicycles, or play in local parks. This sense of safety helps children become more independent while still being protected by a close-knit community.

Another advantage is the stronger sense of community found in small towns. Neighbors often know each other well and are more willing to support one another. As a result, children grow up surrounded by familiar faces, including teachers, shop owners, and family friends who take an interest in their development. This environment encourages positive social behavior and helps children build trust and communication skills at an early age.

In addition, small towns generally offer a calmer lifestyle with less stress. Compared to crowded cities, small towns have less traffic, noise, and pollution. Children can enjoy cleaner air and more natural surroundings, which is beneficial for both physical and mental health. Parents also tend to have more time for their children because daily life is less rushed.

In conclusion, while cities have certain advantages, I believe small towns are a better place to raise children. A safe environment, strong community connections, and a peaceful lifestyle help children grow up healthier, happier, and more well-balanced.

V. Hướng dẫn viết bài TOEIC Writing đạt điểm cao

Để đạt điểm cao trong TOEIC Writing, thí sinh không chỉ cần nền tảng ngữ pháp tốt mà còn phải hiểu rõ tiêu chí chấm điểm và có chiến lược làm bài phù hợp cho từng Part. Dưới đây là hướng dẫn chi tiết giúp bạn ôn luyện TOEIC Writing - tối ưu điểm số ở cả ba phần của bài thi.

1. Chiến lược làm bài Part 1: Viết câu dựa vào tranh

Ở Part 1, mục tiêu không phải là viết câu hay mà là viết câu đúng và đủ. Mỗi câu chỉ cần truyền tải chính xác nội dung bức tranh bằng ngữ pháp chuẩn.

Khi làm Part này, thí sinh nên:

• Xác định chủ ngữ – động từ chính – tân ngữ trước khi viết

• Kiểm tra kỹ thì của động từ, đặc biệt là thì hiện tại tiếp diễn

• Sử dụng đúng vai trò ngữ pháp của hai từ cho sẵn (danh từ, động từ, giới từ…) và mở rộng từ vựng TOEIC Writing theo chủ đề.

Tránh viết câu quá dài hoặc cố gắng sử dụng cấu trúc phức tạp vì rất dễ dẫn đến lỗi không đáng có.

2. Chiến lược làm bài Part 2: Viết phản hồi email/yêu cầu

Part 2 đòi hỏi khả năng viết đúng mục đích giao tiếp trong môi trường công việc. Bài viết tốt là bài trả lời đúng – đủ – lịch sự – rõ ràng.

Cách làm hiệu quả:

• Đọc kỹ yêu cầu và gạch chân các ý bắt buộc phải trả lời

• Mở đầu bằng câu phản hồi trực tiếp vào yêu cầu (không lan man)

• Chia nội dung thành 2–3 đoạn ngắn, mỗi đoạn một ý

• Sử dụng các cấu trúc lịch sự như I would be happy to…, Please let me know if…

Lỗi phổ biến cần tránh là viết thiếu ý, dùng giọng văn quá thân mật hoặc không phù hợp với bối cảnh công việc.

3. Chiến lược làm bài Part 3: Viết bài luận nêu quan điểm

Part 3 quyết định phần lớn điểm số TOEIC Writing, vì vậy cần có cấu trúc rõ ràng và lập luận mạch lạc.

Một bài luận hiệu quả nên có:

• Mở bài: nêu rõ đồng ý hay không đồng ý với vấn đề

• Thân bài: 2–3 đoạn, mỗi đoạn phát triển một lý do chính kèm giải thích

• Kết luận: khẳng định lại quan điểm, không thêm ý mới

Ngoài ra, để đạt điểm tối đa, thí sinh nên:

• Sử dụng đa dạng cấu trúc câu (câu đơn, câu ghép, câu phức)

• Dùng từ nối logic như Moreover, As a result, For this reason

• Tránh lặp từ và tránh lỗi ngữ pháp cơ bản

4. Quản lý thời gian và kiểm soát lỗi

Chiến lược làm bài tốt sẽ thất bại nếu không kiểm soát được thời gian. Một phân bổ thời gian hợp lý là:

• Part 1: 10 phút

• Part 2: 15 phút

• Part 3: 30–35 phút (bao gồm thời gian rà soát)

Trước khi nộp bài, hãy dành 2–3 phút cuối để:

• Kiểm tra lỗi chia thì, số ít – số nhiều

• Soát lỗi chính tả và mạo từ (a, an, the)

• Đảm bảo câu văn rõ nghĩa và không bị thiếu chủ ngữ
