I. Kiến thức lý thuyết về Đảo ngữ tiếng Anh

Đảo ngữ là hiện tượng đảo trật tự thông thường của câu (Chủ ngữ + Động từ) nhằm nhấn mạnh hoặc tạo tính trang trọng cho câu nói. Khi đó, trợ động từ hoặc động từ chính sẽ được đưa lên trước chủ ngữ.

Trường hợp	Cấu trúc đảo ngữ	Ví dụ
1. Đảo ngữ với No / Not only / Never...	Đảo trợ động từ lên trước chủ ngữ	Never have I seen such a beautiful place. (Tôi chưa bao giờ thấy một nơi nào đẹp như vậy.)
2. Đảo ngữ với Only when/Only after...	Only + trạng từ → đảo ngữ ở mệnh đề chính	Only after the party did I realize I lost my phone. (Chỉ sau bữa tiệc, tôi mới nhận ra mình đã làm mất điện thoại.)
3. Đảo ngữ với So / Such... that	So + adj/adv + trợ động từ + S + V	So beautiful was the view that we stayed for hours. (Cảnh đẹp đến nỗi chúng tôi đã ở lại đó hàng giờ.)
4. Đảo ngữ với Not until / Not till	Not until + time + trợ động từ + S + V	Not until 10 p.m. did he come home. (Mãi đến 10 giờ tối, anh ấy mới về nhà.)
5. Đảo ngữ với Hardly / Scarcely / Barely	Hardly/Scarcely/Barely + had + S + V3, when + S + V	Hardly had she arrived when it started to rain. (Cô ấy vừa mới đến thì trời bắt đầu mưa.)
6. Đảo ngữ với câu điều kiện (If-type)	Should / Were / Had + S + V → thay cho câu điều kiện if	Had I known, I would have helped you. (Giá mà tôi biết, tôi đã giúp cô.)
7. Đảo ngữ với Here / There / Down...	Trạng từ + V + S (thường là động từ to be hoặc động từ chuyển động)	Here comes the bus. / There goes the bell. (Xe buýt đến rồi. / Chuông reo rồi.)
8. Đảo ngữ với Neither / Nor	Neither/Nor + trợ động từ + S	I don’t like coffee. Neither do I. / Nor does he. (Tôi không thích cà phê. Tôi cũng vậy. / Anh ấy cũng vậy.)
