Thank you for calling Matthews Island Holidays. We've been offering high-quality holidays for more than 40 years, and we believe we have more experience in this field than any other company.

All our holidays include return flights from London, and our prices are inclusive of all meals, with an optional vegetarian menu. In addition, we also provide a tour manager to help you with any issues you may have. Our tour manager, Michael, will meet you at the ferry terminal in Heysham and will travel with you to the Isle of Man.

On your holiday, you'll be staying at the Palace Hotel, in the centre of Douglas. It's a fantastic place with beautiful views over the river and a great restaurant.

Day 1: Arrive and settle in. Michael will give a brief introduction in the dining room. Day 2: We'll take a trip to Tynwald, the oldest parliament in the world. Recent studies suggest that the Tynwald may not be as old as previously thought. It's now thought that it was founded in 1422 not 979, but it's still fascinating. We'll then visit Peel, a beautiful fishing port with a stunning castle. Day 3: We'll go on a trip to Snaefell, the highest mountain on the island. We'll travel along the promenade in a tram to Laxey, where we'll take a train right to the top. Day 4: This is a free day for you to explore on your own. We'll provide you with a special pass which gives you free travel on the island's bus and tram network, and free entry to all heritage sites. Day 5: We'll take a wonderful old steam railway train from Douglas to Port Erin, where you'll have some free time. Then we'll take a coach trip to Castletown, which used to be the island's capital. Day 6: Leave the island by ferry or plane.

The price of your holiday includes three lunches, on days two, three and five. In terms of special requests, we can offer a guaranteed larger room for a small extra charge. But there's an additional charge for anyone who wants to transfer to another date.
