"I'd like to talk about the time I saw a sea turtle while snorkeling in Koh Tao, which is a small island in the south of Thailand.

It was during my summer vacation about two years ago. I was snorkeling near a coral reef when suddenly this magnificent green sea turtle appeared from behind some rocks. It was quite large - probably about one meter long - with a beautiful dark green shell covered in patterns.

The turtle was gracefully swimming through the water, moving its flippers in slow, elegant motions. It seemed completely unbothered by my presence and swam right past me, only about two meters away. I watched as it approached a patch of seagrass on the ocean floor and began feeding. It was fascinating to see it use its beak-like mouth to tear off pieces of grass. The whole encounter lasted about five minutes before the turtle slowly swam away into deeper water.

What made this experience so interesting was how peaceful and majestic the turtle appeared. Unlike many wild animals that would be frightened by humans, this turtle seemed calm and confident in its natural habitat. I was also amazed by how graceful it was underwater, despite having such a heavy shell, it moved through the water so smoothly.

Additionally, I learned that sea turtles are endangered species, so seeing one in the wild made me realize the importance of marine conservation. The guide told us that these turtles can live for over 80 years and travel thousands of miles across oceans. This encounter really deepened my appreciation for marine life and made me more conscious about protecting our oceans."
