1. Firstly nghĩa là gì?

Firstly có nghĩa là Thứ nhất / Trước hết / Đầu tiên, dùng để mở đầu ý số 1 trong một bài nói/bài viết theo dạng liệt kê.

Ví dụ: Firstly, I want to talk about the main problem. → Trước hết, mình muốn nói về vấn đề chính.

2. Secondly nghĩa là gì?

Secondly có nghĩa là Thứ hai / Tiếp theo, dùng để chuyển sang ý số 2 trong chuỗi lập luận. Ví dụ: Secondly, we need a better plan. → Thứ hai, chúng ta cần một kế hoạch tốt hơn.

3. Đồng nghĩa với For example là gì?

For example có nghĩa là Ví dụ như / Chẳng hạn. Các từ/cụm đồng nghĩa thường gặp:

For instance (thông dụng nhất)
Such as (ví dụ liệt kê)
Like (thân mật hơn, dùng trong nói)
To illustrate (trang trọng, hay dùng trong viết)

4. Đồng nghĩa với In my opinion là gì?

In my opinion có nghĩa là Theo tôi / Theo ý kiến của tôi. Các cách nói tương đương:

I think… (phổ biến, tự nhiên)
I believe… (mạnh hơn “I think”)
From my perspective… (trang trọng)
As far as I’m concerned… (nhấn mạnh quan điểm cá nhân)
To my mind… (hơi trang trọng)
Personally, … (ngắn gọn, tự nhiên)

Ví dụ: From my perspective, online learning is more flexible. (Theo góc nhìn của tôi, học online linh hoạt hơn.)

5. To begin with là gì?

To begin with có nghĩa là Trước hết / Đầu tiên / Mở đầu là…, dùng để bắt đầu một ý hoặc lý do đầu tiên (gần giống Firstly, nhưng nghe tự nhiên hơn trong nói/viết).

Ví dụ: To begin with, this solution is too expensive. (Trước hết, giải pháp này quá đắt.)

Lưu ý: To begin with cũng có thể mang nghĩa: “ngay từ đầu vốn đã…” (tùy ngữ cảnh)

Ví dụ: He didn’t want to join to begin with. (Ngay từ đầu anh ấy đã không muốn tham gia rồi.)
