1. Have you ever sent handmade gifts to others?

Yes, I have sent handmade gifts to others such as cards, jewelry, and even small pieces of art. I love to make things with my own hands and give them to people I care about. It's a great way to show someone that you put thought and effort into something special just for them.

  • Jewelry (n): jewelry, ornaments made of precious metals and stones.

  • Put thought into (v.p.): to carefully consider and reflect on something, to give something careful attention and consideration.

2. Have you ever received a great gift?

Absolutely yes. I remember i t was on the eighth of March which is International Women’s Day. This is quite an important day here and all Vietnamese women in the country are honored. I received a lot of postcards with graceful wishes from my friends and I sent a lot of similar ones to my female friends.

  • Honored (v): to feel special, respected, or privileged

  • Graceful wishes (n.p.): kind, thoughtful, and polite expressions of goodwill

3. How to choose a gift?

For personal events like a person’s birthday, I often try to find out about that person’s hobbies and look for a gift related to them, so I know that it will be something they will appreciate and use. Apart from that, I will consider my budget at that time to allocate and manage enough money for that gifts, otherwise it would cause a lot of troubles for me.

  • Appreciate (v): to value highly, to be grateful for

  • Budget (n): the amount of money available to be spent

4. Do you think you are good at choosing gifts?

Yes, I think I'm pretty good at choosing gifts. I like to think about the person I'm buying for and what they would like. Also, I try to find something that is meaningful and that they will appreciate. For example, something unique and special will make the recipient feel special. In some cases, I would have to consider my budget and find something that is within it.

  • Recipient (n): the person who receives something

  • Within my budget: within the amount of money I have available to spend
