“To reach your TOEIC target, Prep Edu is enough.”
From a long break in English to a 900 TOEIC target, Trang Hoang rebuilt her skills through one simple habit: consistent practice with Prep Edu. Her journey shows how right tools and right study plan can turn pressure into progress.
Motivation for pursuing TOEIC
Trang Hoang, a final-year International Economics student, studied TOEIC to strengthen her English for future career opportunities. She had studied English online in high school, but busy university schedule and part-time work caused a long break. When she restarted, Trang looked for a tool that could help her rebuild vocabulary, grammar, and the core skills of Listening and Reading in a structured and manageable way.
Then Trang discovered Prep Edu through an inspirational creator she followed on social media. What impressed her most was this platform’s flexibility: with just a laptop and headphones, she could study anywhere and easily balance her university workload and part-time job.
Tips for progressing in Listening and Reading
Listening was Trang’s strongest skill. In her TOEIC test, she earned 455 points in this section. Her method was simple and consistent: replaying audio, noting mistakes, and checking script to understand why she got them wrong. After about a week, she reviewed previous exercises to see whether the same mistakes reappeared. This steady routine helped her improve Listening skill comprehension significantly.
Reading, however, was her biggest challenge. Vocabulary and test strategies often slowed her down. With Prep Edu, Trang started practicing by question type, learning common collocations, and working through Test Practice. Thanks to her quick memory, she gradually turned Reading from a weakness into a reliable skill. Taking notes, doing exercises regularly, and encountering vocabulary in context helped her remember better and stay consistent.
Effective learning experience with Prep Edu
Trang found Prep Edu’s online course and Test Practice especially effective. The split-screen interface, computer-based format, and built-in timing helped her get used to the real test pressure. Prep Edu’s test bank was comprehensive and close to the actual exam, and the detailed explanations made it clear where Trang needed to improve. For her, practicing on Prep Edu was enough to build confidence before the actual testing day.
She also appreciated the Study Plan for its clarity and structure. It showed her exactly what she had to learn to achieve the goal. Furthermore, Trang showed excitement when sharing about Prep Edu’s courses, “10-15-minute video lessons were easy to absorb, and interactive exercises kept me focused. The extended vocabulary lists were helpful when I didn’t have time to rewatch lessons. Throughout the course, Prep Edu’s support team responded quickly whenever I had questions, which made the whole learning experience smoother.”
Strict schedule and determination
Aiming for a 900+ score, Trang set aside 4-5 months for TOEIC preparation: almost 4 months for rebuilding her foundation and 1 month for intensive practice. During the final stretch, she studied 8-10 hours a day, paused her part-time job to stay focused.
Since she was busy during the day, Trang usually studied in the evening for one to two hours, watching video lessons and completing exercises right after. The most challenging period was the final month, when she practiced continuously for long hours while also preparing for the HSK exam. Despite the strict schedule, she felt confident on test day due to weeks of practicing with Prep Edu.
