From zero TOEIC to 950 in 2 months: A first attempt that changed everything

Early confusion and hidden traps

For Phi, TOEIC wasn’t just another certificate. It was directly tied to future job opportunities. “I chose TOEIC to strengthen my application for a multinational company. I just needed to catch the keywords.” That single adjustment turned Listening from passive guessing into active prediction, and the impact was clear. His score improved from around 400 to over 490.

What reinforced that progress wasn’t more theory; it was how Phi practiced every day. “I used Test Practice a lot for about two months. I studied the intensive course and practiced tests at the same time. It helped me get used to the nearly 2-hour test and build the stamina to complete it. In my opinion, this was the most important factor.”

The experience felt close to the real exam, but what made the difference was the feedback loop. “I could study anytime, and my answers were corrected instantly with suggestions. Since I focused on practice tests, having immediate feedback saved me a lot of time.” Instead of repeating mistakes, he was constantly adjusting, right after each attempt.
