1. Test Options - Test Sets and Test Management

The Virtual Speaking Room offers users a wide selection of practice tests, each meticulously designed to match the real exam format. Learners can select a specific test (with each test clearly labeled for easy choice). Additionally, tests that have already been completed will display detailed status updates and results, allowing learners to conveniently review and study from their previous tests.

2. Virtual Speaking Room Configuration

The Virtual Speaking Room offers two modes: Practice Mode & Exam Mode.

2.1. Practice Mode

Practice Mode is designed for users who want to familiarize themselves with question prompts visually and gradually build listening and speaking reflexes without exam pressure. This mode includes the following features:

• Preview Questions: Displays the content of each part of the test in advance.
• Manual Question Playback: When moving to the next question, learners can click the “Listen” icon to start the audio for each question manually, preventing automatic playback.
• Manual Recording Start: During the test, learners can begin recording their responses by clicking the “Microphone” icon, allowing them to control the timing instead of automatically starting recording after each question.

2.2. Exam Mode

Exam Mode is designed for students who want to simulate the real test environment with continuous Q&A practice under time pressure. In this mode, features are modeled closely to the actual test, and you will not be able to preview questions (to improve brainstorming ability). Features like question playback and recording will be automatic.

3. Note and Time to Think (Only in Exam Mode)

The Note and Time to Think feature is designed for Exam Mode and simulates the real test experience. In this mode, you'll go through the entire Speaking test process on a single platform, helping you manage time for each question type and practice under test conditions. The Note feature allows you to quickly jot down keywords or jot down ideas for Part 2 and Part 3 responses.

4. View Results and Explanations Immediately

Once you've completed and submitted your test, the system will begin scoring and analyzing your answers, providing explanations from an overview down to the details of each response.

5. Detailed Scoring by Criteria

The advanced scoring system evaluates responses based on the following criteria:

• Pronunciation (Score for pronunciation accuracy similar to native speakers) - Scale 0-100
• Fluency (Evaluates natural rhythm and appropriate pauses) - Scale 0-100
• Grammar (Grammar accuracy based on your spoken content) - Scale 0-100
